The Bettie Allard YMCA stands as the welcoming centerpiece of the new Heart of Burquitlam master-planned community. Concert Properties has been involved with this ambitious public-private-non-profit partnership from the earliest stages, through planning and construction.

“A project of this magnitude and significance would not have been possible without the incredible support of Concert Properties,” said YMCA BC President and CEO Heidi Worthington.

Now, it’s exciting to announce that Concert Properties is also a What Really Matters Now Capital Campaign donor.

“Our relationship with the YMCA spans two decades, and Concert Properties is proud to continue that partnership through our support of the What Really Matters Now campaign to bring essential services to people in urgent need,” said David Podmore, OBC, Chair, President & CEO of Concert Properties.

“This speaks to our common vision of building resilient, inclusive and sustainable communities.”

One of Concert’s founding principles is to give back to the communities where they work. Its generous donation to the What Really Matters Now campaign amplifies Concert’s already-significant impact in the Burquitlam area.

“Like the YMCA, community is at the heart of everything Concert Properties does. Both our organizations are committed to building stronger, healthier, more diverse communities. So, having them come on board as a YMCA capital campaign donor is extra special,” said Darlene Hepburn, YMCA BC Vice President, Fund Development.

“We are grateful for Concert’s multi-faceted support.”

The additional support from Concert Properties will help to ensure the Bettie Allard YMCA serves as a welcoming place for children, families, seniors and adults to be active and find community for generations to come.
