A new piece of fitness equipment can be intimidating, especially if you’re a bit unsure of how to use it.

Have you seen one of the more popular new pieces on the Chilliwack Fitness floor? It’s Queenax™! Queenax™ is a functional strength training machine where you use your own body weight to perform a wide variety of movements and exercises.

It’s perfect for those wanting to learn more about functional fitness and how it’s beneficial to them.

One of the benefits is that you don’t have to be an elite athlete to use it. With plenty of options for any age and fitness level, you can find a level that’s appropriate for you.

It’s more than just strength training. There ways you can incorporate plenty of cardio exercises into the experience.

There are two ways to get started:

1) Try a Q Strength class. Our expert fitness instructors are always adding new movements into the class, to keep things fresh. Bring a friend or meet someone new from the Chilliwack Y! Check our schedule to find a time convenient that’s for you. 

2) Ask a fitness team member for a demonstration. We are more than happy to show you the ropes! Literally! Not only will you get more out of your workout, but we can also show you how to use the equipment safely.

Queenax™ may seem a bit different at first but, don’t worry, you will get the hang of it soon enough. Remember, there was a first time you stepped on a treadmill!
