Meet Your Chilliwack YMCA Team

Jenelle Benson

Membership Supervisor

Jenelle is new to the YMCA and will be your new Membership Supervisor. She has spent the past five years in retail sales, guiding a team in achieving various sales goals and targets while delivering excellent customer service and helping meet customers’ variousneeds

She is very excited about the opening of the YMCA. Jenelle looks forward to helping all of the wonderful members and staff in achieving their personal goals at the new facility.

Her favourite thing about the YMCA is its active role in the community through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.

A fun fact about Jenelle: She loves to cook! She will try to remember to keep a steady stream of tasty (and healthy) snacks to share.

Aaryn Bergen

Child, Youth and Family Staff

Aaryn first started working at the Chilliwack YMCA in October 2016. She’s very excited to be back with her YMCA family as she loves to work with everyone. She looks forward to everyone’s smiles, the connectedness and, of course, working with the kids again. The support and community feeling has truly resonated with her.

Aaryn is artsy and enjoys nature, gardening and hiking. A fun fact about Aaryn: She loves to sing on a Karaoke app almost every day!

Charmaine Clements

Membership Staff

Charmaine is a part of the membership team at the Chilliwack YMCA. She started working for the Y two and a half years ago and is very excited to see the new facility. Charmaine is especially excited to see the new lobby because, “it’s the place where families gather and where it all begins.”

For more than twenty years, Charmaine has enjoyed helping people in customer service. Now, at the YMCA, she has the opportunity to provide a great experience for the community.

Kelly Trenouth

Fitness Instructor (Volunteer)

As a mom of a toddler, Kelly found it important to find good programs and a safe and welcoming environment for her son. The YMCA was everything they needed and more!

She felt so inspired by everyone at the Y and couldn’t help but want to be part of the YMCA family in a new capacity. That is why she is excited to provide a positive experience and help inspire others in the community.

Kelly is most excited to get to know more of the wonderful people in the Chilliwack community. She looks forward to working together to create a great atmosphere at the YMCA and form new relationships in which she can learn and grow.

What matters to Kelly is putting people first and creating an environment where people feel supported, encouraged and safe. She wants to celebrate people’s successes, strengths and passions and to help show others how much they have to celebrate.

A fun fact about Kelly: She ate her first piece of cake that she actually enjoyed at the age of 25. She has since been working on making up for lost time!
