The Chilliwack YMCA team was recently honoured with a Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity Award. Winning the  category of Inclusive Environment, the award recognizes the team for embracing diversity and creating a welcoming environment for culturally diverse groups throughout the organization and its programs.  

We champion the richness of diversity at the Y and more than anything, we believe in building communities where everyone belongs. We are also aware that the path to inclusivity is a journey and like most people and organizations, we are still learning and striving to do more, better. This award is an acknowledgement that we are on the right track.

Thank you to our What Really Matters Chilliwack volunteers and donors. You helped make this new centre of community a reality. And despite this Y currently being closed due to the pandemic, we remain committed to welcoming everyone back as soon as possible. In the meantime, we continue efforts to provide Y services to  Chilliwackians.
